About Me

I’m a full time Junior High Art Teacher with over 6 years experience in the Austin area. I consider myself to be very honest, patient (you have to be to work with 12-15 year olds everyday!) J, and creative.  My passions are the Arts and Animals.  

I love teaching, but also wanted to find a way to incorporate my creative side with my love for dogs. I decided to learn the art of grooming and fell in love with it!  I love to work with my hands, and grooming is similar to sculpting so it was the perfect choice!  I get a huge smile inside seeing the before and after grooms of happy pups! I became a Certified Groomer with over 240 hours of schooling through one of the top grooming schools in the nation, Golden Paws Academy , in Houston .  I have worked in high volume grooming salons, and wanted to share my creative abilities on my own with the launching of Spa Dog. 

Spa Dog is truly a Labor of Love! I am the sole proprietor of this tiny venture, and have thoughtfully put together a personal grooming business that I am quite proud of!  Because I teach full time during the school year, I accept one groom after 5:00pm M-F, and work full time on the weekends.  I will be working full time M-Sat, during the summers, which starts the first week of June this year. While my business may seem tiny, I assure you my honest dedication and quality is not!  I look forward to becoming your personal groomer!
